Our Rainbow Bridge

Coco
Crossed the bridge 17th October 2025
Coco was a long standing resident of Ash's Sanctuary. She lived life on her terms here with us and we loved her all the more for that.
Coco had a very hard start in life as you will have read on her sanctuary story. she came to us very broken and we weren't sure if we would win her round. However, with a lot of love and slow hard work Coco accepted the staff and learned to love her life.
She was and will always be, one of the hardest cases and one of the most amazing dogs we have ever had the honour to care for here at LHDR.
Forever loved.

Bryce
Bryce was very special to the LHDR, she wasn't with us long, but she had a huge impact on us all.
Two of a volunteers took her home to rehabilitate and assess her progress after a major surgery on her bladder, They loved her fiercely and were heart broken when it became clear the surgery had not been a success.
Bryce left us just as she had arrived. happy and surround by those who couldn't have love her more.
Some dogs really get under skin and for out two volunteers especially, she wiggled into their hearts and has never left.
Forever loved.

Willow
Wee Willow was not on this earth long. Born at the beginning oof October, she hand her littermates had quite a rough entry into this world. Willow more than the others. She was suck on the birth canal and had to be extracted via emergency section along with her other litter mates.
though she lived longer than her brother Ethan who was just too small and weak, she began to falter.
Passing just a few short days after her birth, Willow left us all broken hearted.
We found out after her passing that she had a congenital condition and there really wasn't anything we could have done to save this wee nugget.
For the time she was with her foster mum she was deeply loved. too pure to stay.
forever loved.

Ethan
Ethan arrived with his brothers and sisters in early October. He was the only one born naturally. Very tiny at birth and quite flat everyone was concerned.
His foster mum worked tirelessly to keep him warm and willed him to perk up as she had so much love to give him.
His siblings were all born and there was still hope that wee Ethan the official runt of the liter would pick up and we would have welcomed 7 hapy healthy pups.
Sadly, Ethans tiny body was just not strong enough. he left us peacefully.
Thought he was only with us for moments we will remember his sweet face forever.
Forever loved.
