THE ADOPTION PROCESS

Step 1: Decide what type, breed mix and size of dog you are looking for, then check here or on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/lovinghomesdogrescue to see who is up for adoption alternatively you can view Our Lonely Hearts pages for more information on our current adoptions. (Please note, new intakes will not always be published so it is always worth filling in a form to register your interest, click here to complete a form).

Step 2: Register your interest in either a specific dog or simply generically by filling the form in below with as much detail as possible.

Step 3: Once we have received your application form, one of the team will contact you to discuss further.

Step 4: We will arrange an in person home check to be done at your property with preferably all members of your household present.

Step 5: Once the home check has passed, we will arrange meet & greets with your chosen dog. For distance adoptions, this step will be adapted to suit.

Step 6: Once you and the dog are happy, we will then ask you to sign a contract with us and leave the dog with you in its new forever home. Adoption donations apply as does a neuter contract in certain situations. All dogs have lifetime Rescue Back Up.

Please note, we are a small team so there may be a delay in getting back to you, particularly when there are multiple applications for a single dog. Sadly, not everyone can be successful but this does not mean that your application is discarded, we will keep it on file for another similar dog suited to your circumstances.
