Hello, my name is Needa.
I’m a Mastiff cross and I’m 5 years old now. I’m currently staying in Orkney – it’s really nice and fun here – but I would love to find a house and family to call my own forever home, like some of my mates have done. They seem so happy. I’m a big girl, (they say I’m a massive cuddle monster), very loving and affectionate but I can be a little nervous sometimes of men in those hoodie jumpers, but once we get past that nervous stage, I’m okay. I love everybody, including children, but because I’m a big girl, the humans are recommending that my new family have older children – just in case I get over excited, I could forget myself and accidentally knock a small one over, and I would feel very sad if I did do this.
I’m not very good with other pets, cats/furries, so my new family would want to give me all their love and want to have lots of love back from me once I’m settled. The humans are using a harness to walk with me at the moment as I have “prey drive” really badly, but I’m getting better every day and I can walk to heel now.
I love learning new stuff – I feel very clever and the humans love it more than me! They won’t let me off the lead as I lose myself if I see anything small and furry. I just get really excited and want to smell and touch them, but the humans say it’s not good to be doing that. So, I’m trying really, really hard with the training from the humans and hopefully this can be carried to my new forever home. As you can see, I love my food, treats and toys! They say this is helping a lot when I’m training.
I enjoy going in the car with a seat belt for us doggies and a safe space. I can travel happily for around 4 hours, as long as I’m comfortable and can see what’s going on. I don’t take much grooming – a bath every now and then is good for me as I’m short-haired. I’m really, really good in the home and can be left for short periods if you want to nip out for little while, as long as I have my safe space. I can relax on a night time and have lovely dreams about my new home…
So that’s the bare minimum introduction from me. I don’t want to say loads as what will I tell you if you visit me? I hope my forever home and family see this and fall in love with me, but remember slowly is better for me. So that’s it. I really, reall,y really hope I find my forever home soon. See you soon! Thank you, love and licks,
I will be neutered, (April), vaccinated, micro-chipped, flea and worm treated. Application is by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
