ADOPTED

Hello everyone, my name is Lucy but my foster family call me moocy as they say my marking are like a cows! Guess what I am black and white, I’m around 6 or 7 years old but I lost count. I am a staffie cross but were not sure what with, maybe it is a cow?! I stay with my foster family in Leighton Buzzard at the moment and am looking for my forever home.

I currently live with other dogs, I like dogs that are smaller than me and we get on well and like to play, I can be a strong minded lady and don’t get on well with overly dominant dogs of a similar size or bigger. I like my toys and am working on learning that I have to share sometimes and not be greedy and territorial over them. My perfect home would ideally be on my own, I can have all the attention to myself them, but with slow and proper introductions and continued training on with my toys I could live happily with other dogs that a smaller than me.

At the moment, it is summer so we go out for walks for about 45mins to an hours, I like summer as it means less rain, I really don’t like the rain, I don’t look pretty when I am wet! I walk nicely on my lead and have been practicing with my foster mum to not pull her, I like training I get treats for being clever. I am not allowed of my lead as I am very easily distracted by furry things like cats or squirrels, but I do come when called from the garden. I don’t want to live with any little furry things as I get way to excited and might hurt them and this wouldn’t be very nice.

I have met lots of people of all different sizes and ages and am super friendly with everyone, I like to give kisses and cuddles to people, then they give them me back too. I am easily excitable and can become a bit bouncy so though I like really little children I might be a bit much for them and be better suited with older children. I am very clever in the house I know to tell someone when I need the toilet and not to chew things up. I have a crate in my foster house am I go in this is the people are going out, I settle down nicely and have a snooze, I like to curl up in my blankets to sleep and always bury my head! I get to choose where I sleep at nights and I’m not really that fussy as long as I have a blanket to snuggle in I am a happy girly.

Going in the car is super exciting, it means new things and more importantly new people to fuss me and tell me how pretty I am. I try and climb over the seats in the car from the boot so I can be nearer to the people, I am learning that this isn’t good and that I have lots of space of my own in the boot. I always like to look my best beautiful self so I try and keep clean, it doesn’t always work but I like being bathed and made to look and smell even better.
