Meet Oscar Who is turning 4 years old in May. He has been with his fosterer since the 5th of February 2026 and in that time, he has been neutered, upto date with his vaccinations, flea'd and wormed. He is a merle collie, who is so much fun. Currently living with 3 other dogs, 2 parrots and 4 horses. He is house trained, does not jump onto the furniture, is good on the lead(prefers to be off though) will walk to heel, knows a couple of tricks and 100% will learn more in the right home. He is very eager to please and happiest when his brain is working. Currently his fosterer works 5 days a week, which he is coping well with. However, his fosterer makes up for it when finished work with loads of exercise and mental stimulation. He will run along side a bicycle (as you will see in the video attached). He will run along side a horse and rider(however, be mindful the fosterers horses are used with this) he does anything that is asked of him. He is a fast learner, excellent recall(once he gets to know you) he has no interest in herd work with any type of livestock. He travels well in the car, he is crate trained, he loves a shower and a good brush. He does not cast that much hair if being groomed daily. The joys of owning a dog! 😅 He is good with kids who are respectful of his space.. possibly aged 5+ as he doesn't like the parrots screaming, who sound very much like small children, he will hide from this! He has been cat tested - very much depends on the cat. He will chase the neighbours cat, but he is scared of his fosterers family cats. He is good with all dogs that are good with him, out walking he thought he could speak to all dogs, however he is learning that he doesn't get to speak to everyone. He can be homed with another dog, however, that depends on the new owner and their current dog. Meets and greets prior to placing Oscar in the home with another dog is essential. Oscar is not for a first time dog owner, he needs someone who is knowledgeable of the work of owning a dog and the breed itself. He would do well in a home where his new owner was into running/jogging, a cyclist or horse rider. (Active household) His fosterer advises he would excel in something like agility or flyball. If you have energetic kids who will keep him busy but respect his space too, he will love this. He has a lot of energy and love to give. A very good boy with a big heart. If he doesn't get enough mental and physical stimulation, he will chase shadows. (Noticed when he was on crate rest after neutering) There is a video attached below to show a fraction of what Oscar has been upto in his time with his fosterer. He is a very special boy who deserves the best home If you feel you could match his energy/needs then please do not hesitate to get in touch. Oscar is advertised over on our website along with all of our other dogs in the "Our Lonely Hearts" section. Please find out link below 🐶
